Shrimp Etoufee'

Hi Everyone!

Today's recipe is for Shrimp Etoufee'.  In case you haven't noticed, I love shrimp and rice dishes.  This dish is spicy, so I made a mild version since PJ hates spicy food.  He really loved it!

So this is what I used:

* Shrimp
* White Rice
* 1 8 oz. bottle of Clam Juice
* 1-2 Celery Stalks
* 1 Red Onion
* 2 Tomatoes
* 1/2 cup Canola Oil
* Flour
* Green or Orange Pepper
* Mushrooms
* Morton's Nature's Seasoning
* Garlic Powder
* Pepper
* 2 box of Chicken Stock
* Worcestershire Sauce

Prepare your white rice and set it aside.

Clean and season your shrimp.

Heat the canola oil in a large pot.  Sprinkle the flour in the oil and whisk.  Whisk until the color is peanut butter.  Allow to cook about 10 minutes.

Add the chopped celery, onions, peppers and garlic.  Sautee' for approximately 5 minutes.

Stir in your spices. You can make it as mild or spicy as you like.

Now whisk in the clam juice, tomatoes, mushrooms and Worcestershire sauce.  If you want some heat, add in hot sauce.

Bring to a boil and then reduce the heat to simmer for about 25 to 30 minutes.

Stir in the shrimp and allow to cook for another 5 minutes.

Serve over the white rice and enjoy!
