Hi Everyone!
Today's dish is Beef Nachos. My kids absolutely love this dish. We usually have it as an appetizer at Applebee's or Chili's. This is one of those dishes that I said to myself, "I can make this!" You can get creative and add whatever ingredients you like. You can make it as spicy or mild as you like. My son PJ hates "spicy", so it is not even a consideration in our household unless I made him his own batch. Well, let's get started! You won't believe how easy this dish is to make!
You will need the following ingredients:
* Ground Beef (This can be made with chicken as well)
* Nacho Chips
* Taco Seasoning
* Cheddar Cheese (I prefer sharp)
* Tomatos
* Lettuce
* Sour Cream
Preheat your oven to 425 degrees.
Fry the ground beef until brown and thoroughly cooked. Drain any excess grease off of the beef.
Add taco seasoning and about 3/4 cup of water to the ground beef. Cook the seasoning into the beef.
Grease a large baking dish.
Place a layer of nacho chips in the dish. Then spoon the ground beef over the chips. Now sprinkle the ground beef with a layer of cheddar cheese. Repeat this process for as many layers as you want.
Place in the oven for approx. 15-20 minutes or until brown.
While your nachos are baking, wash and chop up your tomatos and lettuce. Place them in seperate bowls as well as the sour cream. Get creative, add any other favorite veggies that you like as well. There are no rules!
Once golden brown, remove the nachos from the oven and serve.
Nachos make a great dish for gatherings as well as a fun meal for your family.
Enjoy!
