Macaroni & Cheese - July 24, 2011

Hi Everybody!

Today's featured recipe is Macaroni & Cheese.  Just about everyone loves Macaroni & Cheese and it's such great comfort food.  It can be served as a side dish or eaten alone as must of us know.  I personally love this dish with several different cheeses.  The different cheeses give it such a rich flavor.

You will need the following ingredients:

* Elbow Macaroni
* Sharp Cheddar Cheese
* Butter
* Egg
* Milk
* Salt
* Pepper
* Sugar

Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

Boil macaroni until tender.  Rinse and drain. 

Grease you favorite baking dish or pan.

Spoon a layer of macaroni into the dish.  Add 4-5 pats of butter per layer.  Sprinkle cheese.  Repeat in same order for as many layers as you would like.  If you are using several cheeses, you can use a different type per layer. 

Prepare your milk mixture.  Add 1-2 cups of milk depending on the amount of macaroni that you're making.  Add 3-4 eggs, sprinkle salt, pepper and a dash of sugar.  Beat mixture until completely combined.

Pour mixture over the macaroni and cheese.

Bake for approx. 30-40 minutes or until golden brown. 

Let dish stand 20-25 minutes before serving.
