Hi Everyone!
TGIF!!!! This is a quick meal that just about everyone loves. Chopped BBQ, but some people call it Pulled Pork. Chopped BBQ is something that you can make while you're at work, that's right....at work, as long as you have a crock pot. A crock pot is a must have for working or busy stay at home moms. You can prepare your meal the night before, and then turn on your crock pot before you leave for the day. When you come home, dinner is just about ready.
You will need the following ingredients:
* Pork butt or shoulder
* Barbecue Sauce
* Salt
* Pepper
* Morton's Nature's Seasoning
* McCormick's Chicken Montreal Seasoning
* Meat Tenderizer
* Vinegar
Wash and season your meat. Remember to rub the seasonings and vinegar into your meat.
Place your meat in the crock pot on low for 8-10 hours. Fill the crock pot about 1/2 way. Now, if you are in a hurry, you can cook this in the oven on 400 degrees for 3 hours. Baste your meat once an hour or more.
Once your meat is tender and falling off the bone, remove the meat from the crock pot and put it into a bowl. Start chopping your meat off the bone. I like to run my fingers through meat to make sure that all of the bones have been removed.
Add your favorite barbecue sauce to the meat. Mix it through until all of the meat has been completely covered.
Serve on Potato Rolls, hearty Sesame Seed Rolls or your favorite rolls.
I have made this dish for customers where they were served as sliders at parties.
Enjoy and please e-mail me with any questions or comments!
