Petite Crab Cakes

Hi Everybody!

With Christmas approaching, many of us will entertaining or attending parties over the holidays.  A great and delicious appetizer to make are Petite Crab Cakes.

You will need the following ingredients:

* Lump Crabmeat
* Panko Bread Crumbs
* 1 Egg
* 2 heaping tablespoons of Mayonnaise (preferably Hellman's)
* Your favorite seasonings
* Pepper
* Chopped Celery
* Chopped Onion
* Worcestershire Sauce
* Canola or Olive Oil

Add a can of crabmeat to a large mixing bowl.

Add approx. 1/2 cup of bread crumbs. You'll want to add enough so that your crab cakes hold together.

Then add your egg, seasonings, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, mayonnaise, celery and onions. You can add as little or more as you like.

Combine ingredients.  Then, scoop out about a little over a tablespoon of the crab mixture.  Make a small crab cake.  Roll the crab cake in the Panko Breadcrumbs.

Place on a baking sheet.  Heat about 2 cups of Canola or Olive Oil in a large skillet and fry.  Cook each side until golden brown and remove.  Place on a sheet of paper towels to drain the oil.  It's that simple!

Serve with Dill Tartar Sauce or Shrimp Remoulade Sauce.  See my recipes.

Enjoy!
