Seafood Pasta Salad - July 31, 2011

Hi Everybody!

I have a recipe for a summer time favorite, Seafood Pasta Salad.  For some reason, I only like to make this dish in the summer.  It takes approximately an hour or so to make this dish.  I gave this recipe to a friend once who made it for a picnic.  A guest that was at the picnic told my friend that she was from Maine and it was the best Seafood Pasta Salad that she ever had.  I was truly honored.  Cracking the crab legs is a little time consuming, but the flavor that it gives the salad is phenomenal!

You will need the following ingredients:

* Rotelle Pasta
* Medium Shrimp
* Snow Crab Legs
* Hellman's Mayonnaise
* Dill Weed
* Morton's Nature's Seasoning
* Celery
* Onion

Boil the Rotelle Pasta, rinse and set aside to cool in a bowl.

While peeling, cleaning and shelling the shrimp.  Boil the water for the crab legs.  Be sure put sprinkle salt in the water for the crab legs.

Season and then saute the shrimp on the stove.  When done , set aside to cool.

Once the water for the crab legs start to boil, add the crab legs to the water and let boil for 10 minutes.  After the crab legs are done, run cold water over them for easy handling.

Crack the crab legs and add the meat to the bowl.  Toss in the shrimp as well.

Scoop in the mayonnaise.

Sprinkle in the dill weed as well as the Morton's Nature's Seasoning, salt and pepper to taste.

Stir and combine ingredients thoroughly.

Serve as a side dish or eat alone on a bed of lettuce.

This is a great dish for parties!

Enjoy!
