Hi Everyone!
Do you have a special occasion coming up such as a shower or a luncheon? Quiches are very attractive and delicious to serve. What's great about quiches, is that you can put just about anything you like in them, and they are fun to make. I sell alot of bacon quiches. My personal favorite is shrimp.
Here are the instructions to get you started.
You will need the following:
* Individual Quiche Pan
* 1 egg
* 1 cup of milk
* Pillsbury Pie Crust
* Cheddar Cheese (Sharp or Mild)
* Bacon, Shrimp or Chicken (Your choice)
* Morton's Nature's Seasoning or Salt
* Pepper
* Parsley flakes
* Fresh Spinach
Now, preheat your oven to 400 while you are assembling your quiches.
Spray or rub oil on your pan for easy removal.
Roll out your Pillsbury Pie Crust. What I like to do is turn the quiche pan upside down and cut out my crust as if it were a cookie cutter. Place the pie crust in the oiled pan. You will then place the pan in the oven for about 5 minutes or so to let the crust start cooking. I do this so that the crust is not mushy after the quiche has baked.
Microwave or fry your bacon prior to assembly. I like to cheat and use the microwave. It's so much faster. If you choose frsh shrimp or chicken, cook them first before adding to your quiche.
Remove your pan from the oven once the dough no longer looks raw.
Rinse your spinach and tear up a 3 - 4 leaves. You can use more or less, whatever you like. Same goes if you use broccoli. If you use frozen broccoli put in the microwave first to thaw.
Crumble your bacon over the spinach.
Top with cheddar cheese.
In a measuring cup (because it's so much neater), add 1 cup or less of milk depending on the size of your mini pan.
Add your seasonings to the milk and egg mixture.
Pour your milk and egg mixture into the pan until it reaches the top. Try not to pour so much that it overflows in your oven.
*Tip - Put the pan on cookie sheet or pizza pan. It's much easier to handle.
Bake for approximately 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
Gently stick a knife in the quiche to make sure it's done. If the knife comes out clean, it's done. If it comes out wet, stick it back in the oven for 5 minutes or so.
Wait 5-10 minutes and gently remove the quiche from the pan onto a plate.
Your guests will be so impressed!
